Our inaugural full remodel venture during our real estate investment endeavors involved a collaborative effort with my husband, myself, and our two young boys, aged 8 and 4 at the time. The project commenced with a complete overhaul of the property, which featured a compact primary bedroom and a constrained 1.5-bath configuration, alongside fragmented living spaces. The backyard presented an unkempt appearance, while the front lacked adequate vehicle coverage.
In our quest to revitalize the space, we embraced a Mid-Century theme to harmonize with the home's existing architectural framework. We implemented a thoughtfully designed carport solution, meticulously landscaped the surroundings, and refreshed the exterior facade. Internally, strategic demolition of kitchen walls facilitated an open-plan layout, complemented by the addition of a dedicated pantry and laundry room. Furthermore, we undertook a comprehensive reconfiguration of the primary bedroom, effectively doubling its size and incorporating a spacious walk-in closet. Extending beyond the interior, we repurposed an internal area for enhanced storage functionality. Outdoors, meticulous landscaping efforts, including the installation of block walls, transformed the backyard into a tranquil retreat. This transformation also involved the creation of two distinct pads – one featuring turf for recreational activities and the other adorned with pavers to accommodate a covered seating area – offering an ideal setting to bask in Arizona's picturesque weather.
